Christmas Tags

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today and I'm happy to be working with these lovely stamps from Paper Wings Productions.

I recently received some new stamps and this Christmas set - Holiday add ons - really caught my eye.

I stamped the houses on white cardstock which had been cut to fit the tags.  2 were matted with cardstock and one was inked before adding them to the tags.  Holiday lights were added across the top and color was added using Smooch Accent Inks.   The phrases were stamped and die cut.

These tags can be created assembly line style so they come together quickly.  Why not create some tags today?

Thanks for stopping by today.

Holiday Season Celebration!

Hello all! Pam here today to celebrate the start of the holiday season with two cards using the Fall Mix it Up Clear stamp set and the Christmas Mix it up Clear stamp set.
I just love these little sets, they are perfect for making collage backgrounds- which I LOVE to design!

For both cards above the background is a stencil mono print using Ranger Distress ink and water -colors and stencil coordinating of course with each season. The background collage was made by stamping and paper piecing each small element- pumpkin and santa hat onto the backgrounds. All pieces were adhered using the Xyron 1.5" Sticker Maker.
To add some texture and a little shine I used Stickles to color the pumpkins and the white on Santa's hat.

To each I added a few embellishments to finish off the design!
I am so excited for the upcoming holiday season! Hope you stay tuned here  to the Paper Wings blog-the Aviary and my blog for more fun holiday projects!

Quick and Easy Halloween Cards

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today and I'm happy to be working with these lovely stamps from Paper Wings Productions.

Halloween is almost here so let's create some Halloween cards.  I've used the Halloween Mix it up clear stamp set.  This set includes 11 stamps consisting of words and images.

For my first card, I embossed the background with a spider web background, then lightly inked it with silver ink for a dreamy effect.  I stamped the spider three times, punched them out and added them to black circles before adding them to the card.  Chill & thrills was also punched out and then added to the card with foam adhesives.

For my next card, I lined the words on an acrylic block then stamped them to create the background.

I stamped the witch hat three times, punched them out and added them to the card.  A border was added to finish off the card.

Because there were so many stamps to use, these Halloween cards were quick and easy to put together.

Thanks for stopping by today.

two (more) Halloween cards

Are ya'll tired of Halloween projects yet?! It's Ashley here today have two final Halloween cards to share. The first one is using one of the new release stamp sets, Build a Wreath.

I stamped my wreath from the Build a Wreath stamp set and die cut it with one of my circle dies that was a close match. Then I started stamping some of the Halloween images from the Little Halloween and the Fall Add Ons stamp sets. I colored the ghosts, the bat, the pumpkins, and the headstone and fussy cut them. I heat embossed the feather with black embossing powder right onto the wreath. I stamped the leaves with VersaMark ink, heat embossed them, and fussy cut them. The sentiment came from the Little Halloween stamp set and I just curved it slightly on my acrylic block so that it would fit nicely in the banner. The sentiment is also heat embossed with black detail embossing powder.
My second card is using the new stamp set, Winter Wonderland
First I used distress inks to color my background and then I die cut the grass from patterned paper. Next I stamped the branch and the bird onto my background. Lastly, I used a sentiment from Little Halloween and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.
Thanks for stopping by today! Now, onto Thanksgiving and Christmas projects for me!

Hola

Hello friends. Larissa here today with an Hola card using two different stamp sets:
Calaveras & Corazons  and Mujer Skelton.

I stamped the Skelton onto a piece of 110 lb white cardstock and colored her using Copic markers.I then cute her out and matted her on a piece of black cardstock to make her stand out on the background.  I stamped the background with skeleton heads and hearts. I stamped the sentiment using a dark gray ink.

The card front is matted on a piece of black cardstock and adhered to a white card base.

So much fun for a Halloween card or you can use it for Day of the Dead or Dia de Muertos.

Hope you enjoyed my card today. Have a wonderful day friends.

Sparkle a little brighter

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today and I'm happy to be working with these lovely stamps from Paper Wings Productions.

I love creating journals and books so I've used the new With Some Sparkle stamp set.  This set of 5 stamps reminds us of how special we all are.

A spellbinders die was place on the journal and the stamped phrase was placed on top.  Then I added rhinestones around the cover so it all sparkles.

So don't be afraid to sparkle!!!

thanks for stopping by today.

Fall is in the Air

Happy October! Pam here today with a card project celebrating fall in New England.  The air is crisp and the leaves are changing colors. Such a fantastic time to get outdoors and hike.  Our hike this weekend and all the beautiful colors inspired this card.

My card  features the Leaves Cling Stamp Set -a collection of 6 stamps, including the perfect sentiment to go along with the fall theme.

The leaves were stamped as a background in alternating fall colors using Simon Says Stamp inks onto Neenah Desert Storm card stock and then the acorn was added as an overlay.
The sentiment was stamped onto vellum in Archival black.
The entire card and the sentiment was matted with embossed gold card stock to match.

Thanks for joining me this week to celebrate Fall! Be sure to check back often for more great inspiration using the Paper Wings Productions stamps!

Los Animales

Hello friends. Larissa here with a fun Halloween card for you today.
I am using the new cling stamp set Los Animales.
I stamped the cat head on a piece of white cardstock using a gray ink to create a pattern paper background.
Then I stamped the cat and colored it with Copic markers. I cut it out and adhered it to a piece of black cardstock cut into a circle.
I matted the card front onto a piece of black cardstock then adhered it all to a white card base.
I didn't want to cover up too much of the background so to finish off the card front I added some purple and orange sequins and a piece of fun Trick or Treat ribbon.

This is such a fun set for cards this month. Although I think you could use it year round or at least I will. :)
Have a wonderful day friends.

Our designs

Hi friends,

It's Carrie here.  Personally I am loving our new stamp designs.  My tastes can be rather eclectic and this new release really reflects that.  I think that there is something for everyone at Paper Wings Productions.  I can tell that by all of the sales we have had this week for our new sets (THANK YOU!).  Our shipping has run a bit behind this week with the influx of orders.  I promise there's a little something extra in your packages to thank you for your patience.

Although I can see how much you all are loving our new stuff, I can't help but think of how many people might not *get* some of our designs.  Living in South Texas, you really come to embrace and appreciate the rich culture that originated south of the border.  I fell in love with Mexican folk art from the moment I found it.  I have a deep admiration for the traditions, imagery, and symbolism behind the art.

Shortly after deciding to start up Paper Wings I met a lovely lady named Liz Balderas.  Liz and I seem to have a mutual admiration and often trade art with one another.  She is amazing.  She creates paper mache works of art that she sells are various shows and on Etsy.  Besides the paper mache, she has many other talents and endeavors that keep her busy.  Check out some of her work...

I approached Liz about creating designs for Paper Wings and she happily agreed.  She is one of my favorite designers to work with because she is always positive and willing to work with the ideas I give her.  I simply cannot say enough good things about this woman.  She is the designer behind many of our popular sets including these.

She also designed the new Nativity, Virgen de Guadalupe, and Sacred Heart stamps.  You can check out all of the designs Liz has done for us by clicking here.  I know skeletons and some of this may seem strange to some of you but I really encourage you to take a closer look at the traditions and symbolism behind Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and Mexican folk art.  I think if you do, you might come to love it as much as I do.
